Sustainable Development Goals Accord

IFPASA formally aligns its certification, accreditation, and fellowship programs with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The IFPASA SDG Accord is a formal commitment by IFPASA and its certified members to align their research, governance, and professional conduct with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals — ensuring that science and AI serve humanity equitably and responsibly.

Aligned SDGs

IFPASA's work directly contributes to four priority SDGs:

SDG 4

Quality Education

Through fellowship programs, certifications, and partner university networks, IFPASA promotes inclusive, equitable, and quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for researchers worldwide.

SDG 8

Decent Work & Economic Growth

IFPASA's Fair Compensation Statement and reviewer recognition programs directly address economic inequities in academic labor, advocating for fair treatment of peer reviewers globally.

SDG 9

Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure

AIEC certification and AI governance programs ensure that AI innovation is built on responsible, ethical foundations — enabling sustainable technological infrastructure for all.

SDG 16

Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions

IFPASA's accreditation frameworks and Code of Ethics strengthen research institutions, promote accountability, and foster transparent governance in the global knowledge economy.

SDG 17

Partnerships for the Goals

With members in 50+ countries, IFPASA embodies the spirit of global partnership — connecting universities, research labs, AI developers, and policymakers to advance shared goals through collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and mutual accountability.
