Privacy Policy

IFPASA is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to our website and participants in our programs. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Last updated: June 2026

1. Data We Collect

We collect personal data that you provide directly โ€” for example, when submitting a fellowship application, certification application, or contact form. This may include your name, email address, institutional affiliation, academic qualifications, and professional background. We also collect standard website usage data (page views, browser type, referring URLs) through analytics tools for the purpose of improving the website.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To process fellowship and certification applications
  • To communicate with you about your application status and program updates
  • To maintain the IFPASA fellow and certified professional registries
  • To send program newsletters and updates (only with your consent)
  • To improve the website and program offerings
  • To comply with legal obligations

3. Data Sharing

IFPASA does not sell personal data to third parties. We share data only: (a) within the American Research Foundation and IFPASA program operations; (b) with Sigma AI Consulting for the purposes of AIRGC and CAIG program delivery, subject to a data processing agreement; (c) where required by law. IFPASA registry listings (name, credential, country) are public as part of the certification program โ€” applicants consent to this at the time of application.

4. Data Retention

Application data is retained for the duration of the certification or fellowship and for a period of 5 years after expiry or withdrawal, to support appeals, renewals, and registry maintenance. Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe. Website analytics data is retained for 24 months.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; object to or restrict processing; and withdraw consent for communications. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@ifpasa.net. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Cookies

This website uses strictly necessary cookies to ensure basic functionality, and optional analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site. You may accept or decline optional cookies. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled as they are required for the site to function correctly.

7. Contact

For privacy-related enquiries, contact IFPASA at info@ifpasa.net or write to the American Research Foundation via the address on the Contact page.
